Hispanic Mechanic Vegan Festival

HI FOODIES!👋🏻 HOW ARE MY GORGEOUS PEOPLE? 😘 I WAS INVITED BY DANI FROM @the_placeoftaste TO ATTEND THE YEARLY VEGUSTATION EVENT AT @hispanicmechanicadl

What an immaculate day? We started with sitting outside, with our cocktails while juicy elote and moreish mac n ‘cheese’ empanadas were served. I freaking loved it! So much fun!

We were then ushered inside where we were served the following:-

☀️Tostones with palm heart and watermelon ceviche – loved the texture of the watermelon, the freshness cuts through the  fried palm hearts.

☀️Blue Corn Tostaditos with black bean mash, shredded lettuce, guacamole, pulled jackfruit in chipotle sauce, orange and tomato salsa. – I ate part of this dish. I have an allergy to avocado. 🤷🏼♀️I absolutely love pulled jackfruit! I actually prefer it to any protein tbh. It’s lighter, digests easier, has a firmer texture and delivers the same flavours.

☀️Arepa with roasted mushrooms, baby blue lentils and ancho. – This dish is rich af. 

☀️Stuffed Anaheim Chilli, smoked corn cream. – This dish was next level delicious. Loved the heat and the creaminess of the filling. Serve me a plate of this and I would be happy. 

It was about here that I was so ridiculously full! 😁

☀️Enchilada filled with slow cooked soy protein, poblano, ‘cheese’ coriander and cauliflower cream. – That cauliflower cream was just so full of flavour. 

☀️Lastly, OMG donuts, Eve’s undoing, with coconut caramel, apple- mint reduction, stewed apple and cinnamon nice cream.- What a way to end a fantastic vegan degustation!

I was feeling pretty terrible today however, I have too much respect for my followers not to post. You’re waiting  for it. You push me to be better, to do better.  This is why I love you so so much! 😘😘😘
