Mother’s Milk

HI FOODIES! I GOTTA BE HONEST WITH YOU. I DON’T USUALLY EAT BURGERS AT @amothersmilk THIS TIME I JUST HAD TO TRY THEM!

The first pic is their Cajun Pulled Pork Burger, lashings of aioli, slaw, jalapeno, greens on a bbq sauce bun! Lunchtime comes around and you’re starving, this is what you have! Get this! The pork is cooked in apple juice! The jalapenos gives the burger that kick it needs and the cabbage slaw, the texture. This baby grew up to be a monster! 

That red bun is a Siracha bun! Yep, uh huh and it’s kick arse! I love the subtle build up of heat, that warm feeling in my mouth is an indication that they got the balance right.  This is the Haloumi and Mushroom burger. I’d like to add, I particularly liked the addition of dukka. The texture and earthy nutty flavours married well with the creamy haloumi. 

LUNCH!! Who else has breakfast food at lunch? ‍️ I could eat breakfast for lunch and dinner! This is why @amothersmilk Green Chilli Eggs is my all time favourite menu item! The heat and acidity of the green chilli sauce gives me goosebumps…BUT THEN…you pop that yolk and there’s your relief! This is a frigging genius dish! If you should need further relief, there’s a smear of labnah. Oh oh oh! Before I forget. The fresh coriander on top…aaaaaaaaah! Insane addition! Go in anytime and order this dish. I’d go in at lunchtime and avoid the stampede. ‍️ Just sayin…

makes all the cakes herself! I don’t even like raw cakes but I kept going back for the raw snickers slice! The BEST Persian Love Cakes in Adelaide are made by Janine. The lemon polenta cake is the teenagers favourite!
