HI FOODIES!Β THE TIME HAD FINALLY COME FOR OIIG TO VISIT @seoulsweetieadl IN TRUE ANASTAZIJA FASHUNΒ (am aware the use of the word is incorrect…yep, still don’t care) DESSERT WAS DINNER! SOOOO, FOLLOW ME DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE!Β
That menu!! What the hell was I supposed to choose? Yeah, not the durian dessert. I left that for the scores who would sell their left kidney for the vile fruit. No judgement.
I ordered a Kahlua Affogato and a Very Strawberry Yogurt Bingsu.
Mr OIIG ordered a Taro Milk Tea with jelly and a Vietnamese Coffee and Mango Tiramisu.
If you still haven’t tried the second best dish coming out of Korea, bingsu, umm you’re waiting for what exactly? Light shavings of milk ice, in this case syrawberry jelly, fresh strawberries and strawberry compote. Not overly sweet, intermittently pour condensed milk onto the bingsu.
I see what you did with the tiramisu. I get it, I get it. Yeah, mango works with coffee so stop screwing up your nose like that! The flavours are magic together. The freshness of the mango breathes life into this coffee laden dessert.
Ok, I didn’t think I would like a taro milk tea. I was bracing myself for disappointment. I hate being disappointed. I swear you could slap me (don’t) and you’d get the same shocked expression! Freaking delicious! Mr OIIG had to yank the drink out of my hands! βοΈ
Lastly, heavenly affogato. My love for coffee is obsessive. IMO, I feel coffee is addicted to me. Didn’t dawn on me until I read a random quote. It started to make sense. The feelings are mutual! The use of quality creamy vanilla bean icecream makes a huge difference.
I noticed an attention to detail when reading the menu. I understood immediately, the person designing the desserts wasn’t an amateur. They attempted to balance flavours in each dish. A menu tells you a lot about the person who designs it.
I love @seoulsweetieadl
I promise to come back.
