HI FOODIES!Β πŸ‘‹πŸ»Β WHEN’S THE LAST TIME YOU WENT TO @shobosho? DID YOU KNOW THEY’RE #OIIGAPPROVED? NOPE, NO STICKER AT THE FRONT HOWEVER, @tombo_slicex HAS IT SQUIRRELED AWAY IN THE KITCHEN. 😁

Actually, Shobosho received my last sticker before I order the next lot. So that’s 50 stickers given out over SA! 

Starting with Smokey Bay Oysters Tosazu Chive. An example of simplicity done exquisitely. I’d come in for a dozen with bubbles or four shots of sake πŸ€¨πŸ˜πŸ’™ I’d be a happy girl. 

My absolute favourite is the Salmon Tataki Ponzu Wasabi. I love it when they go heavy on the wasabi, I get a wasabi brain freeze!πŸ˜‚ Have you had one? So good! Then the brain releases endorphins! Endorphin rush without exercising! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Raw Tuna Edamame Bonito Cream and Grilled Nori. I would never order this dish, one of the reasons I like to let the chef decide what I’m going to eat. This is delicious! The tuna, tender af, the grilled nori adding texture which in turn kept my brain interested. I kept going in for more! 

Grilled Leek Buttermilk wakame Let me explain how to eat this. See the ‘burnt’ parts of the leek? I watched friends eat this dish maybe a month ago. While they were praising the dish, they were ignoring the ‘burnt’ parts of the leek. I told them if they include a little in their next mouthful, the flavours of the dish will change and will taste ‘complete’. They did and absolutely loved it. πŸ˜

The udon dish was one of Mr OIIG’s faves. I think I got a little. πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈπŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ What I can tell you is the noodles were chewy, just like they’re supposed to be. I was surprised how much Mr OIIG loved the dish! Correct me if I’m wrong, I stupidly didn’t take a photo of the menu! πŸ€¦πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ It included blue swimmer crab, dashi butter, yuzu, kizami nori? 

Duck potstickers baby!!! That chilli sesame they sit in is lick the plate clean delicious! That combo cuts through the richness of these dumplings of delight like a hot knife through butter! 

Lastly we had tender af steak with miso bernaise and house pickled onion. Served with their shallot bread and the don’t judge a book by its cover, kick arse delicious Rocket Salad, Miso Dressing, Kizame Nori. Wow! What a way to finish!
